Hi, I’m Shawna Agrawal—thanks for reading.

If you’ve just found my site, welcome. I write stories for young adults, adults, and children, and I also offer writing services for schools, libraries, organizations, and fellow writers. This blog is where I’ll share updates, resources, and behind-the-scenes notes from the writing life—without spoilers.

What this blog is for

  • Book news and new releases: announcements, cover reveals, launch details, and where to find signed copies (when available).
  • Reading extras: discussion questions, classroom-friendly materials, and occasional bonus content.
  • Writing craft and process: practical tips on drafting, revision, voice, and building resilient creative habits.
  • Events and visits: school & library visits, workshops, and speaking engagements—plus what to expect if you book one.

If you’re a reader: start here

Whether you love young adult adventures, children’s stories, or adult fiction, I’m glad you’re here. Over time, I’ll add posts that make it easier to choose your next read—like “If you liked X, try Y” recommendations, content notes where helpful, and reading guides you can use for book clubs or classrooms.

If you’re a teacher, librarian, or event organizer

I offer school & library visits, writing workshops, and speaking engagements (in-person or virtual, depending on schedule and location). In upcoming posts, I’ll share sample session outlines, age-range recommendations, and ways to tailor a visit to your students or community.

If you’re a writer looking for support

Revision can be the hardest part—because it’s where the story becomes itself. I provide editorial services (including developmental feedback, line edits, and manuscript critiques). On the blog, I’ll also share checklists and mini-lessons you can apply right away, whether you’re polishing a short story or deep in a novel draft.

Want updates without having to check back?

The easiest way to stay in the loop is to join my newsletter. You’ll get occasional emails with new-release news, event announcements, and behind-the-scenes notes—plus links to the newest blog posts.

Stories connect us—across ages, experiences, and the moments we’re living through.
